Kirchoff’s Laws Merit 1

The work you will do in this session makes use of Kirchoff’s Voltage Law (KVL) and Kirchoff’s Current Law (KCL) to find the power dissipated by a load resistor fed from two separate power supplies.

You will need to build upon previous learning in sessions 1 and 2 to use a simulator to prove the correctness of your calculations.

KVL and KCL will be explained in class but may take some time to come to grips with. The following video shows all of the steps required (except the simulation) in order to calculate the currents and find the power dissipated.
